June 24, 2012 marks the 150th anniversary of sixteen year old, Confederate solider, Private George Godwin Borland's death, third son of Col Solon Borland, buried Mount Holly cemetery, Little Rock without a marker.

The General T J Churchill chapter of Daughters of the Confederacy will hold a ceremony for the recent installation of a government issued head stone and their Southern Cross of Honor at his plot, where Law Day 1992 the Arkansas Bar Foundation and Pulaski County Bar Association placed a Cenotaph in honor of Solon Borland whose burial location is unknown.
