Thank you very much, Damon. This was very interesting information and I appreciate it. After I posted that query, I checked the census records for him again and did not limit my search to Arkansas, as I had been doing. I discovered that he was in California on the 1860 census. He obviously didn't follow in the footsteps of his brothers.
