Hello Everett...
Your posting is from quite awhile back, and I am not sure you are even following this anymore. Swift (Jr) and his wife both died from the same epidemic - a "flu fever" that was going around at that time. I am sure you are aware that they lost some of their children to it as well. The Homesleys (Mary Homesley married Swift's older brother William - my GGG Grandfather) were close to our family, and Stephen and his wife went from Washington County / Madison County to care for them - and both died of the virus as well. John Douglas Mullin ended up caring for some of his young siblings. The only article I have ever found that says anything at all is a deposition from later family members (some of his children) stating that Swift and Caroline were indeed dead, and they had witnessed them buried in Clarksville, AR.
