F. M. Pollock, age 22, 2nd Lieutenant, (New) Company B, Shaler's Regiment, Arkansas Infantry,* enlisted October 9, 1862 in Fulton County by L.D. Bryant for 3 years, appointed 1st Lieutenant, resigned March 4, 1863, born in Alabama, resident of Izard County, Ark.

Note: Not wishing to contest the action of the Examining Board, he tendered his resignation. There is nothing in his records to indicate the cause of the Examining Boards actions nor do the endorsements to his resignation provide a clue.

* This regiment was also known as 27th Regiment Arkansas Infantry

F. M. Pollock, Private, Company A, 2nd Regiment Arkansas Infantry,** enlisted June 16, 1862 at Fayetteville by T. M. Gunter , for the war, killed November 12, 1862 by Moses Lewallen, no further records
