I've just "archived" the "8-14-12, Battle of Jenkins Ferry,update" thread. I have limited time these days to monitor and read every posting on the thirty-four (34) History-Sites.Com message boards or I would have commented on this thread earlier.

The "causes", or may I say, your OPINION of the causes of the American Civil War/War Between the States is beyond the scope of this message board. This site is for a History-Only discussion of Arkansas and Arkansans in the Civil War. If you want to discuss Arkansas' withdrawal from the Union and the "sourced" causes of that withdrawal, you may do so, but I cannot allow the inevitable fiery and emotional debate that comes from this topic.
