Bryan, thanks for the information, just trying to find more information on Erastus D. Gray after the records show he deserted. I was looking for more records that he was back with his regiment. I have seen that a lot of the men deserted at the same time July 22, 1863 near Forrest, Miss. Didn't know why so many did.

The information you have, did you get it from a book? I would love to know more about that Regiment.
