Estes, Private, Company D, 2nd Arkansas Cavalry, enrolled and mustered in March 2, 1864 at Springfield, Mo. for 3 years, recorded on the Sept/Oct, 1864 muster roll as absent, on detached service in pursuit of Reb. Gen. Price, promoted Corporal June 1, 1865, mustered out at Memphis, Tenn. August 20, 1865, 19 year old Farmer, born in Carroll, Ark., 5' 7", fair complexion, gray eyes, light hair, one card in his file lists his given name as James H.
