Somewhere in the bowels of the National Archives in Washington, DC, in the Confederate Archives, there will be found a Manuscript No. 3377. One would have to query one of the Old Army Archivists there to see if this manuscript is available. I suspect it refers to his imprisonment under the Yankees.

He is listed as being of the age 18. I suspect that he was under this age. He was discharged July 2, 1862 having completed one years service. As the Conscription Act of April 16, 1862 resulted in the drafting of men age 18-45, I believe he was discharged for being under the age of Conscription.

If he was captured and taken prisoner, I believe it was at Rowlett's Station, Kentucky, December 17, 1861.

Bridges, age 18, Private, Company G, 2rd Regiment Arkansas Infantry, enlisted June 10, 1861 at Helena, Ark. for the duration of the war, having traveled 290 miles to place of rendezvous, present on August 31, 1861, recorded in March 1862 as having been a prisoner, n.d.,* paid April 30, 1862, present June 30, 1862, discharged July 2, 1862
