Quantrill Special Collections Research Opening!

The "Quantrill Special Collections Research" of northwest Arkansas will have it's grand opening on June 9, 2013 at 2:30pm at the Benton County Historical Society in Bentonville, Benton County, Arkansas! The QSCR was formerly housed at the Gentry, Arkansas Public Library and was moved to serve better purpose at the BCHS! The QSCR reveals the newest chapter of Arkansas Civil War history as the collection reveals the guerrillas with Quantrill that are buried in the four county region of Benton, Washington, Carroll and Madison counties and can be proven with backgrounds of each man.
Quantrill historical events like the Lawrence, Kansas raid are now a part of NW Arkansas history represented by guerrilla, Thomas Warren (Rogers Cemetery, Rogers, Arkansas), who rode under Quantrill, Bill Anderson and Dave Poole and was present at Concordia, MO., the MARCELLA steamboat ambush and....the Lawrence raid!
Don't miss many more men, stories and history of Quantrill and the Kansas-Missouri border wars buried in northwest Arkansas!
