I Capt J.S. Lauderdale member of Court Martial convened by paragraph VI Special Orders No 50. from these Headquarters, being unwell is hereby relieved from further duty on said Court Martial. - The Court will proceed with its duties as usual.
II Maj J. [John] B. Lockman, Asst Chief of Ordnance, is authorized to purchase, or impress if necessary, a certain lot of tools be-longing to J. Trumpler, for use of the Government.
III Lieut Geo [George] Q. Fitzhugh of Fitzhughs Regiment, is hereby granted leave of absense for sixty (60) days, dating from 5th August, during which time he will recruit volunteers and conscripts for Col [William F.] Fitzhughs Texas Regiment.
IV Major John C. McClarty is hereby appointed Lieut Colonel of the 17th Regiment Texas Vols to fill the vacancy occasioned by the resignation of Lieut Col [Sterling B.] Hendricks
V Capt S.M. Noble is hereby appointed Major of the 17th Regiment Texas Vols to fill the vacancy occasioned by the promotion of Major J.C. McClarty.
VI Henry C. Hancock is hereby appointed Captain of Co "A" 17th Texas Regiment to fill the vacancy occasioned by the promotion of Capt S.M. Noble.
VII Paragraph XVII of Special Orders No 54, from these Head Quarters, detailing E.P. Pryor, of Capt Daniels Artillery Company, for Special service in the Quarter Masters Department is hereby revoked and Private Pryor directed to return for duty to his company.
VIII Dr J. [John] M. Keller, Medical Director, will proceed at once to Pine Bluff Arks. and there organize completely the Medical Department of Brig Gen [John S.] Roane's Command.
IX Capt [William] Hart, commanding Battery, will proceed at once to Pine Bluff, with his company and report to Brig Genl. Roane for duty. Genl Roane will detail the necessary number of men to fill Capt Hart's battery to One Hundred and twenty men.
X Maj J.[John] C Palmer, Chief Commissary, is hereby authorized to impress a Corn Sheller from Jacob Jones for the use of the Government
XI John Griffith, of Capt Etter's Artillery Company is hereby detailed on Special duty in the Quarter Masters Department and will report at once to Capt Geo [George] Taylor, A.QM. at Washington, for duty.
XII Rev A.S. Hay is hereby appointed Chaplain of the 15th Regiment Texas Vol. to take effect from the 1st inst. Leave of absence is hereby granted Chaplain Hay for twenty (20) days at the expiration of which time he will report himself for duty.
