Hello,

I am researching my third great-grandfather's Civil War service and I am looking for some information on Drew County during the Civil War. My 3x-great grandfather and his brother enlisted at Little Rock in 1863 but lived near Branchville (which used to be in Drew County). I am looking for some insight into the attitudes of Drew County's people during the war, especially around the time the sieges of Vicksburg and Port Hudson began. Such information might help me understand a little why my ancestor and his brother decided to enlist to serve.
