Can anyone out there identify this brigade surgeon? Trying to determine if it might be Dr. Jonas Dudley Smith of Phillips County. Only makes sense he would be with Cleburne's division with his Phillips County ties. In the OR's mention is made by McCray of his greatfulness to Dr Smith's efforts. Also, Kirby Smith mentions a Dr Smith after that battle when back in Tennessee later in 1862 in the OR's.
