Question, I know Capt Crawford Co E, stated they received new weapons (Sprinfield muskets) in Virginia but in late April Fagan's QM rec'd 29,500 cartridges of .54 caliber for the regiment. Now wonder what type of weapon they were using at that time? Any ideas? I guess I always thought it was .58 caliber.
