Etter's Battery

Head Quarters, [Thomas C.] Hindman's Division,
Little Rock. Arks. Jany 24th 1863.
Colonel:-
General Hindman directs that you find a camp, if possible, not near the Arsenal, and not above Little Rock. for all the Artillery of this command, where the same may be put, at once in Camps of instruction, and thoroughly equipped, drilled, and disciplined._ Unless a general camp is speedily found, he desires you move [Chambers B.] etter's Battery [etter's Battery, Arkansas Light Artillery] to [Robert G.] Shaver's [3rd Division, 2nd] Brigade, and camp it therewith. He also directs that you immediately report the number of Parrot Guns, which are here, and whether you deem it advisable to add one or two of the same to the batteries of this Division.
