Grand Prairie Civil War Round Table Meet, 2-11-14

Announcement~ Coming Event~
The Grand Prairie Civil War Round Table will be meeting at the Lonoke County Museum in
downtown Lonoke, Arkansas, 215 South East Front Street, at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday,
February 11, 2013.
Brian Brown, an attorney in Little Rock, will be the speaker. He currently serves as Treasurer of
the Civil War Roundtable of Ark, which will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in March. Brown's
topic will be "Shiloh - What you didn't know."
The Battle of Shiloh, also known as the Battle of Pittsburg Landing, was a major battle in the
Western Theater of the American Civil War, which was fought April 6–7, 1862, in Hardin County
in the southwestern part of Tennessee. Many people who currently reside in Arkansas are actual
descendants of men who fought at the Battle of Shiloh. Among the many men who fought those
days included the 8th Arkansas CSA and the 10th Arkansas CSA.
Everyone is invited and as always, guests are welcome.
Plus, new members are always welcome too. There is no admission charge.
