I am researching the Shannon Family in Columbia County, Arkansas. William Shannon was born about 1836 - 1840 in AL and moved with his family mid to late 1850s. According to Family Trees on Ancestry.com, he died in June of 1863 near Monticello, Drew County, Arkansas during the Civil War. I would appreciate any information about military activity in the area at that time. Is there a list of casualties for the area? Thank you for your assistance. Lynne
