Our family is still in search of the location where John Shoptaw was buried. They continue to say they need to know where he died. Also, they cannot find him in their records. We feel certain that he was wounded in Corinth and was sent to Columbus, MS. We have been to both locations to find any information , but have found nothing. Anyone out there have a way to get the VA to help with a marker?
