Bodenhamer’s Co., 8th Regiment Missouri Cavalry,* joined for duty and enrolled August 2, 1862 at Springfield for 3 years, detailed as Teamster November 2, 1862 and as Wagoner November 22, at Forsycte [sp?] February 2, 1863, Lieut J. Faust is hereby detailed to superintend the building of the Ferry Boat, absent, on scout April 21, 1863, appointed Regimental Carpenter June 25, 1863, recorded on the Sept/Oct, 1863 muster roll as absent, on special duty as Regimental Carpenter, mustered out at Little Rock, Arkansas July 20, 1865

* This organization subsequently became Company E, 8th Missouri Cavalry
