I am wondering of there is a connection to this message

Terry,

The closest thing I can find to your description John G. Martin's Co., Cobb's Regiment, Fagan's Brigade is the following.

There was a Lt. Col. Paul Cobb(s) who was a member of the 30th/39th Arkansas Infantry. This unit was a part of Fagan's Brigade. In Co. D of this unit is a Joseph C. Martin, who was a Captain and later Major in this unit. Maybe some others on the message board can correct this response or add more informtion.

Here is a link to a short history of the 30th Arkansas Infantry.
