Thanks Alan, for your help and an unseen reference to me to go along with all the other listed notes that refer to Doc being in a military prison at Little Rock. Some folks take none of this unless their name is on a POW list or on an archive record. This person is said to have been given a civilian picture of Doc from the Des Arc area years ago, but want let it be seen. I identified the now famous Capt. Reyborne "banditti" CDV for Texas collector back in 1980. Any new picture of Doc could be proven or disproved in a few moments with his unique look and the contemporary descriptions of him in Arkansas before he death. I don't think Doc would have called himself a "banditti" in his picture. I believe this picture was taken in Little Rock after his capture by union forces near the end of the war. I would love to see his name on a union military capture report or POW list, as yet known to me. At the time there, near the end of the war, Union authorities may have had a concerted effort to keep his name off of any official report or POW list.
