Mustered into service 7 Aug 1862 at Springfield, Missouri, and promoted 4th Corporal. Promoted 2nd Corporal 1 Nov 1862. Absent sick at hospital in Fayetteville Feb 1863. Died of brain fever 1 Mar 1863 at Fayetteville, Washington, Arkansas. Born in Georgia. Age listed as 7 on 1850 Searcy Co., Arkansas Census.
