I am trying to flesh out the service of William Bluford Mears.

I know he served in Company C, 17th (Harrell's) Cavalry Battalion (enlisted Mar 1863)
I know he served in Company B, Schnable's Missouri Cavalry Battalion (paroled Jun 1865, plus 1908 AR Pension)

But there is a notation on one source that he was in Company A, McBride's Arkansas Infantry, enlisting at Yellville in May 1862 and dismounted during Jun 1862 at Camp Bragg.

I am not familiar with this unit or whether there are CSR's.

He served in Schnable's battalion with two brothers: Marquis (Mark) Lafayette Mears {earlier service in Co. K, 27th AR Inf}, and George W. Mears {also served in Harrell's Battalion}
