Thanks to all for a response on Cunningham's Lake. I've had a medal detector since I was a kid. there used to be a riding stable on Mississippi Street at Rock Creek and just north of Kanis also known as 12th Street. Today I-630 runs through what would be the middle of the riding stable circa 1970. I found civil war era coins on the old stable grounds along with other artifacts. I just always thought the artifacts were dealing with the barns and stable grounds, but the old coins had me confused in that they were civil war and earlier. This may have been the civil war camp of what was Cunningham's Lake back in the day. I wonder no more, Thanks R.D.
