I want to thank all of the good folks on this forum who provided info regarding the Camden Campaign and the organizations of the Arkansas troops. Some good research went into all the replies to my original post. I did make the trip up to Ark on June 4th. Starting in Prescott about 1pm, we followed Steele's route to his campsite the night after he got across the river. Due to time, we did not go to Marks Mill Battlefield. Its too bad about the actual battlefield along Cox's Creek is not accessible, even though Mother Nature and the river bottoms have reclaimed it.
