Missouri flags lost at Helena

Tried posting this on Missouri page and flags page but got no one apparently with any info to pass on....maybe some of my fellow Rackensackers might have more info, it does seem our page has quite a bit more activity at times....anyway in the ORs LTC Heath of the 33rd Missouri US reports three flags taken by his unit....one was at Battery D from Hawthorne's Ark Inf, but he mentions elements of his regt in Ft Curtis, in their attempts to retake Bttry C captured many prisoners in a ravine they cut off mainly of 7th MO Inf CS and 10 th MO Inf CS including their officers and colors. No one seems to know anything about this loss of colors. Was it one or two? What happened to them? It just drops off from there. Probably a Missouri style flag if so. I know Bill Gurley who is the Parsons expert here will keep an eye out for any tidbit of info. One interesting tidbit, I visited with an elderly lady who is a,Pillow. She married into the family and lives there in the Pillow house. She mentioned a flag found in one of those hillside dug caves near Bttry C. I cannot find anything about that happening. Supposedly within the last couple years or,so. A blue flacg wrapped around a rifle,or something like that. She thought the museum there may have it but not able,to find out anything. If that did happen it sounds possible could be a MO style flag but until that rumor is tracked and verified just another good story from Helena. Hoping someone runs across something, letter, diary etc. these two flags are not to be confused with the two taken by 33rd Iowa on Bttry D from Bell's 37th Ark. so total,of 3 taken at Bttry D, and one or two possibles between Ft Curtis and Bttry C. Info comes from OR v 22 pt 1.
