It was organizing in late Nov and early December. He had a battle at Princeton in early December, think the 8th. I don't know how many companies he had with him but a number of men from what became company B were captured. This was originally Capt Mark Miller's independent Cav company organized in March 1863 that had served as Fagan's escort prior to and after Helena. Also present was Elisha McMurtrey's company or Battalion that formed about the same time. This is also about the same time Wright was organizing his cavalry as well as Poe. All of these began organization in Nov and some didn't complete until Jan 64.
