Yes, they were cousins. How might i findout what he did after Clinton La. He survived the end of the war and turns up in Perry County Arkansas in 1970. Family legend says his wife was told he was killed in battle, so she moves in with another man to help raise her children and step children, and then grandpa returns and she has to decide who to stay with. When he died 1909 he was a freemason. He has a huge monument, but i have always been told the family was extremely poor. Just wondering if he did anything important
