I have read that "Capt. H. T. Hodnett" was from Ouachita county. But he enrolled my ancestor (from Lawrence County) at Pocahontas on 31 August 1861 (14th McCarver's regiment, Arkansas infantry). Would this mean that my ancestor would have had some prior connection to Capt. Hodnett? And I'm not sure why Hodnett would be in Northeast Arkansas at this time. Thank you for any clarification.
