The 1863 CSR card you noted seems to show that Sergeant William E. Rosser, now on Field & Staff service in Indian Territory, was issued special General Order No. 62 by General D. H. Cooper, commander of the Indian Division, Indian Territory, starting on May 1, 1863, for some unknown special service. The record shows that on June 30, 1863, Sergeant Rosser was still serving under this Special Order #62, two weeks prior to General Cooper’s “Battle of Honey Springs, IT.”

Is there any way to find out what Gen. Cooper's Special General Order # 62 said??

Thanks again, but I had to ask.
