Very interesting. I had not ever looked at the roster. Just remembered the quote and the source. Are you familiar with the “Annuals of the Army of Tennessee and Early Western History?” I was unfamiliar with the Magazine and the compiled book. I purchased it in 1995 at the Chickamauga Battlefield Gift shop. The edition I have is the Tennessee Regimental Series. LT Colonel Dr. Edwin L Drake was the editor of the magazine published in 1878. One of the contributors was General Joseph E Johnston about the Dalton-Atlanta Operations. That sold me on the book. It also had a great article on General Patrick Cleburne on page (241) Vol 1 September 1878 Number 6.
