I am trying to identify a Confederate unit known as the "McCulloch Avengers" that was captured at Arkansas Post, Arkansas on January 11, 1863. One of the official reports of this battle mentions a flag being taken that belonged to the "McCulloch Avengers". Apparently, the flag no longer exists or is in a private collection.
