Do you know if there is any way to connect a specific (1851 Colt Navy, serial number 134314) to Col. Thompson B Flournoy?

Per Colt Archives: Unfortunately, our records are confined to the 98,000 to 130,000 serial number range. Records on serial numbers above 130,000 were lost or destroyed many years ago. Consequently, we will not be able to provide research services or documentation on this firearm.

This belonged to my father, who passed away in 2013. His best friend then had it until he passed away in 2019. Included in the box was a note:
1851 Navy
S/N 134315
4-29-1863
Confederate Army
Company M, 1st Ark. Volunteers
Colonel Thompson B Flournoy

I am trying to get an appraisal, but am unable to provide provenance. Have you any idea where I might be able to find this information?
