So then I can assume the Samuel Wilbern-Wilbourne-Wilburn listed in Thompson's Regiment IS NOT my Samuel Wilburn from Clarkson's based on the fact that the CSA enlistment dates & places do not match. So...the records for the Prisoner of War at Rock Island are not for my Samuel Wilburn & since there are no others listed as POWs there is not a record to confirm it. People keep copying someone's record on ancestry and now it is on so many trees. Thank you for your help. His Civil War packet did not contain any information about his being a POW--I was going on what had been family tradition & what I had seen on other trees. Yvonne
