Hello.
In the Alexander Papers Collection, within the Missouri Digital Heritage website, the following digitized image is not associated with its (immensely useful) typed text. There is only the reproduction of the original handwritten text:
http://mdh.contentdm.oclc.org/cdm/singleitem/collection/mack/id/8713/rec/509 (or page 6, item 9)
[Douglas H. Cooper letter to Thomas C. Hindman - Nov. 24, 1862 / Cooper requested to return to Skullyville in the Choctaw Nation of the Indian Territory and assured Hindman that he did not have a drinking problem]
Now, I can't really decypher 19th century English handwriting (I have trouble with 21st century Italian one, for that). The only words I can identify for sure are "very respectfully" at the end.
Please: can anyone transcribe this letter?
