9th Arkansas, Comp B, Cut Off Guards

Trying to determine if a William McCone in the 9th Arkansas, killed at Franklin and buried in McGavock Cemetery is family. My direct GGGrandfather Joel McCone was in Co D, 1st Miss light Artillery and he had one brother in the 4th Miss inf. But the 1860 census also listed a brother William in the family and it is a wonder how he would have made it from central MS to SE Ark in time to join the 9th Arkansas. After the war, the surviving brothers moved over to SE Arkansas in Drew County near Cut Off Creek area so it is circumstantial evidence William had written the family about the area.

Are there muster roles that list any personal information about the initial recruits? Any records that might list information about William McCone?
