Union guerillas/mountain Boomers/White River

1.Referring to "Frank and Jesse James, Friends and Family" by Freda Cruse Hardison, Copyright. 2015, Morris Publishing. I find several names of what are commonly called "bushwhackers" with which I am not familiar. They are; Bill Williams, page 116. Bejamin Franklin Brantley, page 74, Christopher Denton, Page 74 and 161, Ed Cockrum, page 145.
2. On May 5, 1865, the Cockrum, Alsup, and Jim Barker gang killed Thomas Jefferson Shrable at Vidette, AR. From the unpublished history of Shrable family.
3. The bushwhacker called "Old Morg" in THE HISTORY OF BAXTER COUNTY, by Mary Ann Messick.
Old Morg was probably either Morgan Cochran, or Edward Bryant Cochran.
4. The murder of William Kerr, probably by the gang mentioned above.
5. Some of this material is found in LIFE IN THE LEATHERWOODS, by John Q. Wolf. The rest is from an unpublished manuscript by Pauline Fore Hodges, of Union, AR.

Any information on any of the above will be greatly appreciated. Joe W. Smith, author.
