I have a civil war letter dated March 1th 1862 from Funepport, Ark He mentions that "I am going to leave today on the T. I. Conely" or T. S. Conely.
I would like to find the location of Funepport Arkansas and and information of the boat/ship which I assume is a flat bottom steam powered ship.
Based on this date and location maybe uncover where these troops were moving and the outcome.
