Charles,

I don't believe that your Spencer Mitchell would be in my list. The reason being is that my list was of men who died and were buried in an unmarked cemetery outside the fort on its south side. The unmarked Cemetery is called the McFadden Cemetery. But there are no marked there and is overgrown in Pine trees

Sgt Mitchell appears to have been sent to the Little Rock Hospital and having died in Little Rock's St. John's Hospital was probably among the 900 Confederate soldiers buried in what is now the Little Rock National Cemetery. But, don't look to find his grave there. What was a 13 acres cemetery has been destroyed by past National Cemetery adminstrations and been reduce to a simple one acre memorial plot. If it were not for preservationist in the Sons of Confederate Veterans that plot would not be there either.
