I am still trying to work out the organization of Dockery's Brigade during the Camden Expedition. I know the brigade was comprised of the paroled and exchanged prisoners from Vicksburg and Port Hudson. Several units are specifically mentioned, but a number of what were probably very small units by then are not mentioned in the Official Records. The list of paroled units includes the following: Red are Port Hudson.

8th Arkansas Battalion.
12th Arkansas Infantry.
14th Arkansas Infantry.
15th (Gee/Johnson) Arkansas Infantry.
16th Arkansas Infantry.
18th Arkansas Infantry.

15th (Northwest) Arkansas Infantry.

The Port Hudson Units

The Port Hudson Units had already been field consolidated prior to the surrender. Many of these units had been depleted by fighting, disease, and in some cases the effects of previous captures and the remaining portions were relatively small. These consolidations were shifted a couple of times before and during the siege of Port Hudson, but I think at the surrender they were consolidated in the following units:
A Consolidated Infantry Regiment consisting of the 15th (Gee/Johnson), and 16th Infantry Regiments and 8th Arkansas Infantry Battalion, commanded by Col. R. H. Crockett
A Consolidated Infantry Regiment consisting of the 14th, 18th, and 23rd commanded by Colonel O.P. Lyles
A Consolidated Mounted Infantry Regiment including the 11th and 17th Arkansas Infantry Regiments, Commanded by Colonel Logan (only a few were trapped inside and forced to surrender)
I know the 12th Arkansas Infantry is listed in the Order of Battle as belonging to BG William Beall's Brigade, but I don't see them listed in the Consolidated units. At one time, prior to the siege the regiment had been field consolidated with the 11th Arkansas.

After Surrender/Parole

After Surrender/Parole there is evidence that the 19th Arkansas Infantry (Dockery's) was field consolidated with Johnson's 15th.

During the Camden Expedition

During the Camden Expedition, Dockery's Brigade seems to have consisted of a mounted portion and an infantry portion (referred to in reports as Dismounted Casuals)
The infantry portion was regimental size (approximately 400) and was commanded by Lieut. Col. Horatio G. P. Williams consisting of dismounted, company size elements of:
15th Arkansas Infantry (Northwest), under Capt. Austin K. Etris
18th Arkansas Infantry, under Maj. Samuel H. Southerland
19th Arkansas Infantry, under Capt. Thomas M. Drewery
12th Arkansas Battalion, under First Lieut. James A. Gillespie
The mounted portion under Colonel Dockery consisted of:
18th Arkansas Infantry Regiment (Carroll's)
19th Arkansas Infantry Regiment (Dockery's)/ 15th Arkansas (Johnsons)
20th Arkansas Infantry Regiment (Jones)
12th Arkansas Infantry Battalion (Sharpshooters) ()
I question whether this mounted portion of the brigade functioned as four independent regiments, or if they were really just one consolidated mounted regiment at this time?
That would mean that Dockery's Brigade really consisted to two Consolidated regiments, one mounted, led personally by Dockery, and one dismounted led by LTC Williams?

The Unaccounted for units

The Unaccounted for units during the Camden Expedition are:

12th Arkansas Infantry Regiment
14th Arkansas Infantry Regiment (Powers'),
16th Arkansas Infantry Regiment
21st Arkansas Infantry Regiment, and the
23rd Arkansas Infantry Regiment
It seems likely that each of these small remnants were present during the Camden Expedition, and were already consolidate with the units that are specifically mentioned in the Official Reports, but how?
By the time the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Consolidated infantry regiments are formed after Camden, they have thoroughly mixed Port Hudson and Vicksburg units.

Beginning in May 1864, after the Camden Expedition, these units were formed into the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Consolidated infantry in the following fashion:

…The heavy loss of men sustained by the 19th Arkansas Regiment which was surrendered at Vicksburg and the 15th Arkansas Regiment which was surrendered at Port Hudson made it necessary to consolidate these two regiments. But because of the enviable records both had made, each was permitted to retain its number; and the new regiment was known as the Consolidated 15th and 19th Arkansas Regiment. All of the regimental officers of the 15th Regiment being held prisoners, Captain Joe, as senior captain, took command of the 15th Regiment, and Colonel Williams of the 19th was placed in command of the Consolidated Regiment. Captain Joe was second in command because of his seniority and the fact that the others were in prison. Colonel T. P. Dockery of the 19th Regiment was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General and placed in command of all the troops from Vicksburg and Port Hudson. A portion of the brigade was mounted, and General Dockery took command of this part; and Colonel Williams commanded the infantry portion of the brigade. This left the infantry portion of the 15th and 19th under the command of Captain Joe until the 23rd of May, 1864, when he resigned upon a surgeon's certificate, because of wounds received at Port Hudson. This left Lieutenant Dock in command of company B in the Consolidated Regiment. This Consolidated Regiment was in the Battle of Poison Springs and Jenkins' Ferry, after which it was ordered into Texas, where it remained until the surrender.
