Go to the microfilm of the compiled service records for the 9th Georgia and in the heading of the first roll, it will list the officers of the regiment. Find who the regiment's ordnance officer was, and then go look in that officer's individual record. You may likely find the original weapons receipts and inspection reports there listing the type of weapon carried. If no luck at the regiment level, start working your way up the chain of command with the brigade and division ordnance officers to see if copies of the reports may have been filed there.
