I am seeking information on what the different arms cost the individual soldier when he mustered out of service and retained same. For instance I recently saw where a Ohio infantryman paid $6 for his arms and accouterments. I know of a cavalryman who paid $3 for arms when mustered out. Does a list exist detailing the different prices for the various arms retained by soldiers?
