Was this saber used by both the North and the South? I'm thinking of giving a reproduction as a Christmas gift and the 1860 or it's predessor the "wristbreaker" are pretty much the only things I'm finding. I know the person I'm shopping for is definitely interested in a "calvary saber," but I'll have to do more snooping if there is a southern as well as a northern version of this weapon. Any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated.
