Thank you for this information. I had a gg-grandfather and two gg-granduncles in this unit.

From this information, can you or others on the board identify or guess as to the manufacturers and models of these guns?

Original Issue "Old Musket."

Could this be something like a Model 1817 conversion?

Oct. 1861: "German rifles."

Could these be Dresden or Suhl rifles?

1862: Austrian rifled muskets, cal. .54 or .55

I would imagine this is a Lorenz

1863: Enfield rifle.

1864-1865: Springfield rifled muskets.

Any help would be appreciated.
