One more thing: What about the background of a Union regimental Surgeon's shoulder rank-strap? I have been told and read on a website either dark blue or black. But now a buddy just e-mailed me and said that the background on his shoulder straps would be green for the medical staff. Now I don't know what to think. Any info on these questions would be appreciated.
