The gun is percussion. I may not understand your question, however the hammer strikes as any percussion would. These are the markings on the gun, IXX is on the lock, barrel and stock, also 6/67 , 112n, 852 UorV, W, L?W. The barrel is rifled and 14 1/2 inches long, I believe it never have been shortened, has saddle rings on left side. The trigger guard is different than any Carbine's I have looked at in my books, ist much longer with extra support brace I guess for the little finger area of ones hand.The end of the stock (at the barrel) is supported by a brass end. The butt plate covers the butt and over laps the top of the butt stock. The gun is in excellent condition, in shooting condition. Thanks four help. Jerry Brown
