If by "equipment" you mean cartridge boxes, belts, knapsacks, mess tins, uniforms, uniform cloth, and the like, I can dig out some more stuff on that... The Sword book is a good reference on arms imports, specifically the P1853 and P1858 Enfields and a handful of Whitworth rifles; the Adolphus article gets more into the clothing receipts in the Trans-Mississippi. Les Jensen provides the basics on teh Peter Tait jackets in the third part of a 1987 article in MC&H, and this is available on-line if you'll do a Google search for "Military Collector & Historian".

I agree with the comments that many of the non-dug relic on the market today do not have Confederate provenance, but are Canadian. Canada is still part of the Commonwealth, and Canadian troops were equipped with British-pattern gear throughout the 19th and 20th centuries.
