The complete marking should be T&CG for Thomas & Charles Gilbert, makers of gunsights, tools, rammers, rammer spoons, and other small parts.

It could possibly also be C&G for Cooper & Goodman, one of the larger Birmingham makers of P53 Enfields, but they did not normally mark rear sights.
