There is a setting to enable users to edit/erase their postings. The primary reason I haven't implemented it, so far, is because someone could begin a "thread" and ultimately go back and delete the original message that started the thread. I thought this might be confusing to have a number of responses to a message that no longer existed. Perhaps, I can test this feature on one of the message boards and see how it works and is received.
