1860 Colt Army revolver

I have an Army Colt (serial number 51727) which has matching numbers on all the important parts except (I am told) the cylinder.

The number currently on the cylinder is 9225 which is stamped laterally along the cylinder after what appears to be the words "patent number".

Can anyone confirm that the cylinder was stamped with the last four digits of the weapon's serial number ?

Jack
