I suspect you are referring to the counterfeit Boyle & Gamble sword presently listed on eBay. Boyle & Gamble swords were manufactured in Richmond, VA. The sword listed on eBay has crudely-stamped manufacturer--you can tell the letters were stamped one by one, it does not exhibit the Boyle & Gamble notch near the pommel, nor does it have an unstopped fuller. Also, authentic Conferderate items are rarely dated. You will note that the bidder's identities are kept private, that is so bidders can't be warned by others that the item is a fake.
